Week Five in the PAD Invitational: our first survival champions, two movie tickets, and a standings pileup.
First, congratulations to Jonathan, Omar, and Jenn Rico, the three winners of our inaugural PAD Last Stand survival pool. They're splitting the prize, with payment through LeagueSafe tonight. (Commissioner's announcement recorded October 13, 2026.)
All three picked the Cowboys. All three lost. Somehow Dallas still helped somebody get paid. Honestly, choosing the Cowboys should be an automatic forfeit. We'll put that in next year's rules. Kidding. Congratulations to all three.
Now, the movie-ticket race. Manny's Justin Time for a Beer drops 164.74. Sergio puts up 163.86. That's eighty-eight hundredths between a victory lap and buying your own popcorn. Manny, the AMC tickets are yours.
They weren't playing each other: Manny beat Chris, while Sergio beat Andrew. Johnny beat Noe, Ricky beat Brett, and Adam beat Easy.
And Jordan? 99.50 to Oscar's 99.24. A twenty-six-hundredths escape. Oscar, step away from the refresh button.
Johnny and Manny lead at 4–1. Behind them, Sergio, Adam, Ricky, Oscar, and Jordan are all 3–2, third through seventh. Sergio jumped six spots. Brett and Chris are one win behind that pack. Nobody gets comfortable.
Noe and Easy: 1–4, eleventh and twelfth. We could blame bad luck, but we all watched those draft picks. Even the auto-draft button is asking for an apology.
Three contests, three winners. Oscar, reach out to Sergio for your Week Three AMC tickets. Andrew, contact Sergio to collect your $50 8one8 Brewing tab, and let him know if you're bringing friends. Manny, reach out for your two tickets too.
